Retrospective: Auckland Town Hall Centenary
On Wednesday 14th December Dalewool were honoured to share the Auckland Town Hall stage ("the best classical music venue in New Zealand") with some outstanding local acts.
The Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, The Roger Fox Big Band and the Auckland Choral Society all came together with the NZ Band of the Year to commemorate this amazing hall's 100th birthday.
The band performed Lionel Ritchie's 'All Night Long', Hoagy Carmichael's 'Georgia On My Mind', 'I Vow To Thee My Country' and the classic march 'Death Or Glory'. John Lewis left the capacity crowd shouting for more with 'Georgia', but he's getting used to that...
