On Sunday 18th December the band performed at the Hinchco Family Winery in Matakana to add a little surprise to the 90th birthday party of our incredible patron, Peter McDermott.
Sneaking through the pouring rain to get behind Peter and launch in to his favourite march 'Death Or Glory', the entire band happily gave up a precious Christmas Sunday to say a big thank you to Peter and to be part of the celebration.
Led by professional conductor Howard Taylor (shipped especially from Brisbane for the day) the band and intimate audience had a fun afternoon playing the family's favourites and a few Christmas numbers too.
Peter has already booked the band to perform at his 100th... Happy Birthday Peter!
